My Professional Journey
Born in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India, back in 1997, I was surrounded by a fascinating blend of tradition and technology. As a curious kid, I spent hours tinkering with LEGOs, building imaginary worlds brick by brick. Little did I know that these early experiences would shape my creative journey.
2015 | Pursuing My Bachelors in Engineering
Fast forward to my college years. Like many Indian students, I dutifully followed the path set by my parents and pursued a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering. The world of algorithms, databases, and code became my playground. But amidst the technical rigor, something unexpected happened—I discovered my love for design.
It started innocently enough. I volunteered to create posters for college events, and suddenly, I found myself immersed in a world of colors, shapes, and visual storytelling. My designs caught eyes, sparked conversations, and left a lasting impression. I became the go-to graphic designer—the one who could turn mundane announcements into captivating visual narratives.
2019 | Joining Collegepond as a Graphic Designer
But life had more surprises in store. Post-graduation, I took a leap of faith. Armed with my trusty MacBook and a passion for pixels, I ventured into the wild terrain of graphic design. From crafting sleek digital marketing campaigns to designing elegant print collateral, I embraced every project with gusto. And then came the videos—short and snappy, or long and immersive—I dabbled in them all. My creativity knew no bounds.
For two exhilarating years, I wore the hat of the “self-taught graphic guru” at Collegepond. Late nights, coffee-fueled brainstorming sessions, and a dash of Adobe magic—it was my recipe for success. But deep down, I craved more. I wanted to connect with people on a deeper level, beyond aesthetics. That’s when fate intervened.
2021 | In Pursuit of UX at Indiana University
Indiana University at Indianapolis became my compass. There, amidst stacks of usability textbooks and late-night wireframing sessions, I discovered the magic of empathy-driven design. I learned that pixels had feelings too—that every button click mattered, every color choice influenced behavior, and every interaction left an imprint.
Today, armed with my master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, I’m on a mission. I bridge the gap between users and technology, crafting interfaces that feel like home. Whether it’s simplifying complex workflows or creating delightful microinteractions, I thrive on making digital spaces more human-centric.
